Assistant Store Manager - Edge Lane

We are hiring for an Assistant Store Manager to join one of our exciting Stores based in Edge Lane. There’s an established team in place, and you will be working directly with them to help create the best Customer shopping experience possible. Footasylum is a business that believes in our front-end Retail staff.
An Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager with the Store’s day-to-day responsibilities. You will do so by taking on managerial tasks such as overseeing employees, modelling effective leadership and offering excellent customer service. A primary responsibility of an Assistant Manager is to carry out the Manager’s role in their absence. You will utilise this role to essentially acquire and develop a Store Manager’s duties and ultimately be in training to advance to this position.

You will be supported in your journey, and we will celebrate with you, every step of the way. The team
The Edge Lane Store is located in a out of town Retail park just 3.3miles outside the City Centre, its a very new Shopping park and is now the biggest Retail Park in Liverpool, and has the largest liver bird at 30ft.
The Store is a fun friendly store to work in. It has a Management team of 5, Shop floor team of 16 and a back of house team of 5. The store is a busy fast paced Store with all the latest brands in Fashion, Streetwear and Sportswear.
The team are all very friendly and the Store runs very efficiently. As a team we are always very competitive, striving to be the best in the area for KPI’s and targets takings. The aim is to ensure the Customers needs are always met, going above and beyond what is expected of us.
All Staff are fully trained in all aspects of the Store and allow the movement of each department to ensure everyone is able to complete all tasks expected of them. Progression is always available within the Store. The Store is dedicated to help Staff see their potential and to always keep people motivated with development steps and training.
Progression doesn’t have a set time frame, it can be anywhere from 3 months onwards this just depends how fast you can learn as a individual but this something we support and encourage.
About you
- The successful candidate must have passion for Fashion Retail and our company ethos
- You will have ideally worked previously in Fashion Retail
- Previous managerial experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in managing, motivating and training a team
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Efficient and highly organized with a customer focused attitude
- Have in-depth knowledge of the industry
