Senior UX Designer
The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our E-commerce UX & Delivery team within one of the most exciting retail businesses in the UK. You will contribute to the delivery of our ambitious digital roadmap while helping to optimise experiences through our iterative experimentation programme. You'll collaborate closely with a well-established UX and technical delivery team, including UX researchers, designers, developers, data analysts, and programme managers—all working in a fast-paced agile environment.
The Team
The UX team is a tight-knit, agile group responsible for a wide range of digital touchpoints across the business. We work closely together to support long-term digital delivery plans, CRO strategies, and daily BAU activities. While we collaborate regularly, each team member also works independently with strong communication skills and a shared commitment to design excellence.
About You
You are a driven individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for UX best practices. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable managing projects from initial concept through to developer handover. You enjoy tackling complex UX problems, while also being excited by more creative challenges—such as crafting engaging landing pages or seasonal campaign experiences.
What you will do:
- You will demonstrate exceptional understanding of e-commerce best practices, responsive design, and digital technologies.
- You will design for both web and app within an e-commerce environment.
- You will create low-fidelity wireframes and prototypes, with the technical understanding to support UX delivery.
- You will transform wireframes into high-fidelity, creative design solutions.
- You will optimise the full e-commerce journey, including landing pages, navigation, search, product templates, and checkout.
- You will design across multiple brands, delivering best-in-class experiences.
- You will collaborate with insights and data teams to identify user behaviours and opportunities.
- You will contribute to a range of projects—from iterative testing and personalisation to large-scale digital transformation.
- You will champion brand consistency, innovation, and customer-first design thinking.
- You will present and communicate design solutions effectively to cross-functional teams.
- You will work at pace, balancing multiple priorities and shifting demands.
- You will collaborate with other UX designers to maintain consistency and encourage knowledge sharing.
- You will work closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
Skills you will need:
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar UX design role.
- Strong proficiency in Figma.
- Deep understanding of e-commerce and retail trading environments.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creative execution, wireframing, and prototyping.
- Experience in using data and insights to inform design decisions.
- Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience collaborating with UX researchers and/or insights teams.
- Analytical and commercially minded.
- Confident in recommending and communicating ideas.
- Agile and responsive to business data or trading needs.
- Highly collaborative, with the ability to work independently when required.
