Assistant Buyer - Women's Wear
Description
We are hiring an experienced Assistant Buyer or Buyer to work across our Women's wear department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to impact buying opportunities across Footasylum stores, websites and ultimately contribute to the growth of the business.
Responsibilities
Develop relationships with the existing supplier base, while seeking new ones
Competently and confidently in managing brand relationships
Maintain communication with the supplier base, identifying any issues and taking appropriate action
Work closely with the wider buying teams across all categories to understand the department
Ensure excellent communication and interaction with other departments within the business
Supporting and coaching Buying Admin Assistants and interns
Contribute towards the category buying strategy by informing consumer-centric decision making
Having ownership & Accountability for own stable of brands – File/Orderbooks/Pricing/Distribution
Initiating and researching new business opportunities
Participate and contribute to trade and strategy meetings, citing observations and opportunities
Researching and presenting brand, product group and tribe performance for internal insights
Research trips to our Stores, competitors, and relevant events to provide key information on new trends to the rest of the rest of the team
Providing support to the other Buyers and Senior Buyers when necessary
