Store Supervisor
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Store Supervisor to join our retail team in Derby. You will play a key role in the smooth running of the store, supporting the Store Manager in delivering excellent customer service, achieving sales targets and maintaining operational standards. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on team leadership, visual presentation and day-to-day store performance.
Key responsibilities
Lead and motivate the sales team to deliver exceptional customer service and meet sales targets.
Support the Store Manager with daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock management and cash handling.
Coach and develop team members through regular feedback, training and performance reviews.
Monitor sales performance and assist with sales analysis, implementing actions to improve sell-through and conversion.
Ensure the store is merchandised to brand standards and that visual displays are attractive and up to date.
Manage rotas to ensure appropriate staffing levels and support absence cover where required.
Maintain health & safety, loss prevention and compliance standards at all times.
Build positive relationships with customers and colleagues, handling customer feedback and resolving issues professionally.

About you
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and customer-focused, with proven retail supervisory experience. You will be organised, confident leading a team and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Proven experience in a supervisory role within retail.
Strong communication and team coaching skills.
Commercial awareness with the ability to use sales data to inform decisions.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Flexible approach to work, including weekends and bank holidays as required.
